Pre-Registration Dos and Don'ts

DON'T
:
Count on getting the schedule you want, as there are a limited amount of courses in E.C.E.E and sometimes they're only offered once a year (like EDUC 400). And for this reason...

DO:
Bring different versions of a potential schedule. It's ALWAYS better to have a back-up.

DON'T:
Try to get academic advising at pre-reg. Pre-reg is really the time to submit a schedule so that you can be "unblocked" o MyConcordia to actually register for courses. If you need academic advice, please contact Sara Weinberg beforehand.

DO:
Fill out your stage forms beforehand, as it will make the process that much faster.
They can be found on First Class (first click on "Classes", then "EDUC", then "ECEE student Documents").

DON'T:
Cancel stage right before stage starts, or after it has started.
This is extremely inconvenient as the department has to contact the school to acknowledge them of your late cancellation and it means that someone else who would have liked to have gone on stage missed their window. If you find out you cannot commit to stage, please let Sara Weinberg know as soon as possible.

DO:
Show up on time! :)

DON'T:
Show up when it's not your registration time yet. Students with more credits get the first registration time.

DO:
Be cordial to the professors on hand. They are there to help you, be nice.

DON'T:

Stress out! It's not worth it.

In the following document, we have compiled a schedule suggestion, but we do so with great discretion:

FIRST: This is simply a suggestion on how to finish this program in four years.

SECOND: It is very intense, as many of the semesters are full time (five classes) and it does include summer classes.

THIRD: When constructing your own schedule you will need to reflect on your own study habits, time constraints, and other priorities and commitments.
